Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. – For the first time since 2013, the New England College Field Hockey team toppled Colby-Sawyer College, 4-2 in non-conference action, Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
New England College started out on the attack, as they outshot Colby-Sawyer 6-2 in the opening 15 minutes. The Chargers would get on the board with 1:57 left in the first, as Julia Lanctot settled the bouncing ball and struck it into the lower-left corner of the cage.
The Pilgrims would get on the board with 7:46 left in the second, as Giuliana Kelvin batted and scored the game-tying goal. Just over a minute later, Kevlin struck again, as she scored her third of the season, with Jenna Chrabolowski picking up the assist. Following an hour lightning delay, CSC tied the game, as Bella scored the equalizer with 4:15 remaining before the half.
Following a scoreless third quarter, the Pilgrims broke the tie as Drea Chin feed Kacie Weston, beat the Charger netminder to the near post. One minute later, Weston struck again as she corralled a pass from Annalisa Crooks, and buried her second goal of the contest.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Ellie Philben recorded six saves in the win, while Lauren Wilkinson picked up nine stops despite the loss.
- NEC outshot CSC 20-11, while also maintain an 8-6 advantage in corners.
- The last time the Pilgrims defeated the Chargers was back on Oct. 9, 2013.
