Box Score 2 HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College Baseball Team breaks out the bats in game one, winning 17-7, before walking off 2-1 in game two, to pick up the sweep of Becker College, in New England Collegiate Conference action, Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One – New England College 17, Becker College 7
New England College opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning, as Logan Gadbois scampered home on a passed ball before Tyler Gendron hit a three-run homerun. Harutaro Takahashi made it 5-0 in the inning, as he scored on a passed ball. Becker was able to answer in the top of the second, as Coby Hussey hit a three-run homerun of his own, as they plated five runs in the frame.
NEC regained the lead, as Garrett Langis beat out an infield single, but the throw went wide and Langis made it all the way home. Rob Pagliuca double home a pair with later on in the bottom of the third, making it 8-5. Langis struck again in the fourth with a solo homerun, making it 9-5 NEC, then Gendron drove in Connor Morin with a single to left field. Luca Giallongo picked up an RBI single in the top of the fifth, putting New England College 11-5.
The Hawks were able to get two runs in the top of the sixth, as Ethan Perry drove in a pair with a double to right-center field. The Pilgrims responded in the bottom half of the frame, as they plated six runs in the sixth, with three coming via a bases-clearing double by Connor Richardson.
Matt White picked up the win, as the senior pitched 5.2 innings, while striking out four. Alex Perez finished things off, as he pitched 1.1 innings of one-hit baseball.
Game Two – New England College 2, Becker College 1
With all of the offense in game one, game two was more of a pitchers' duel. Connor Morin got NEC on the board in the bottom of the first, as he doubled home Michael Ciccotelli. Coby Hussey tied the game at one in the top of the fourth, as he hit a solo homerun to left field. Tim Krol was able to win it for New England College, as he led off the top of the seventh with a pinch-hit walk-off solo homerun to win it.
Joseph Pascucci got the start for NEC, as he went 2.1 with two strikeouts and just two hits. Shaun Cormier pitched 2.0 innings with 14 pitches, as he struck out three and allowed a solo homerun. Ryan Hughes pitched the final 2.2 innings to collect his first collegiate win, as he struck out two.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Gendron went 5-for-six on the day, with five RBI, and two runs scored.
- Langis hit his NECC leading seventh homerun in game one
- After today's doubleheader, the Pilgrims lead the all-time series 5-1.

New England College will head into the NECC Tournament as the two seed and will take on Elms College in the first round of a double-elimination bracket.
