The New England College Baseball team wraps up their road schedule, as they will travel to take on the Hawks of Becker College in a New England Collegiate Conference doubleheader starting at noon on Saturday.
New England College (11-13, 9-3 NECC) is coming into today's twin bill, looking to rebound from being swept by Mitchell College, Wednesday afternoon. Freshman Garrett Langis, paces NEC and is tied for the conference lead for homeruns this year with six. Langis also has the team lead in batting average (.351), RBI (23), and stolen bases (14). Michael Ciccotelli has been producing lately out of the two-hole for the Pilgrims, as he is batting .303 with 20 RBI and a team-high eight doubles.
Becker College (6-14, 6-6 NECC) is trying to improve their positioning in the upcoming NECC playoffs. The Hawks are the only other team, besides NEC to take down the top seed Mitchell College, as they beat them 12-8 last weekend. Becker is led offensively by freshman Ethan Perry, as he is hitting .316 with 13 RBI and has only struck out five times. Niko Mokanos is batting .333 this year, with 13 RBI.
