Box Score 2 HOLYOKE, Mass. - The New England College Baseball Team sweep Elms College for the second-straight day, as they pick up a 6-0 win in game one, before winning 6-5 in 9 innings in game two, in New England Collegiate Conference action, Monday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One – New England College 6, Elms College 0
New England College was able to start fast in game one, as Luca Giallongo scored in the top of the first inning on a Garrett Langis groundout. The Pilgrims lead would expand in the top of the fourth, as Tyler Gendron doubled home Connor Morin, before scoring himself on a Rob Pagliuca single.
NEC added three more runs in the top of the sixth, as Devin Parsons drew a bases-loaded walk before two more runs would score on wild pitches.
Joseph Pascucci picked up the complete-game shutout for the Pilgrims, as the NEC starter scattered three hits and striking out six.
Game Two –New England College 6, Elms College 5 – 9 Innings
For the second-straight game, NEC was able to strike in the top of the first, as two runs crossed the plate. Elms would take their first lead on the day in the bottom of the third, as they plated three runs in the frame. The back-and-forth game would ensue in the top of the sixth, as Morin tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI double, before scoring on a Tim Krol go-ahead RBI double. The Blazers were able to tie the game, as they scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth.
The game would go into extra innings, with neither team being able to score until the ninth inning. Michael Ciccotelli drew a bases-loaded walk to put the 'Grims up, before Devin Bedell scampered home on an RBI sac fly from Langis, making it 6-4. In the bottom of the ninth, Elms was able to load the bases with no outs in the inning, but Connor Morin was able to limit the Blazers to just one run.
Matt White picked up his first collegiate win, as he pitched 2.1 shutout innings in relief while striking out three and stranding runners in scoring position in the sixth, seventh, and eighth.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Connor Morin has dominated against the Blazers in all six meetings. The lefty is batting .556 with six RBI, seven runs scored, and four doubles.
- NEC leads the all-time series against Elms, 6-0.
