HOW IT HAPPENED
New England College was the first team to strike, as BJ Minarcin reached third on a fielding error by the left fielder, before scoring on a Connor Morin RBI. Anna Maria would eventually get on the board in the bottom of the second inning, as they plated four runs.
The AMCats lead would grow in the bottom of the third, as Noah Holland hit a solo homerun to left field. NEC answered back in the top of the fourth, as Garrett Langis laced an RBI single to right field, scoring Rob Pagliuca from second base.
Anna Maria exploded for five runs in the bottom of the sixth, as Jason Shell hit a solo shot and James Powers hit a three-run homer to right field, to go up 10-2. The Pilgrims got two runs in the top of the seventh, as they both scored via balks. Minarcin hit a solo homerun in the top of the ninth, but it was too late, as Anna Maria took the game 10-5
