Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, SC Mike Griffin hits two home runs and drove in three, but the New England College baseball team fell to Johnson & Wales (RI) 10-5 in non-conference action, down at the Ripken Experience.

HOW IT HAPPENEDJohnson and Wales jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. JWU would add to their lead as they scored four more runs in the fourth capped off by a 2-run home run by Alex Domingos.
NEC would finally get into the hit column in the bottom of the frame as
Mike Griffin hit a solo home run over the left-field fence making it 6-1. JWU would come right back and score one run in each of the next two innings to make it 8-1. The Pilgrims would cut the lead to five in the bottom of the sixth as
Luis Atiles would score on a fielder's choice and
Harutaro Takahashi would score on a wild pitch.
The Wildcats would answer right back however scoring two runs of their own to make it 10-3 in the top of the seventh. NEC wouldn't go away quietly though as
Mike Griffin hit a two-run home run in the bottom of 9
th, however that was all the Pilgrims could muster as they fall to JWU 10-5.
