Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. The New England College women's basketball team pushes their winning streak to four games, after an 84-50 win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference action, Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Pilgrims move to 14-4 overall and 7-1 in NECC action, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-12 on the year and 2-5 in league action.
HOW IT HAPPENEDThe game started with some sloppy play both ways as the score stood at 2-2 three minutes in. Neither side was able to get much going as the Pilgrims held a 6-4 lead with four minutes remaining in the quarter. New England College then found their stride as they outscored the Bulldogs 16-5 to close out the quarter with a 22-9 lead.
The Pilgrims carried their momentum into the second quarter as they extended their lead to 31-13 with five minutes remaining in the half. The Bulldogs found a little life late in the second quarter as they took a 9-2 run to cut the lead to 35-22. Despite the effort by Dean, New England College still held a 15-point lead (37-22) heading into the break.
Rene Hudson led all scorers with 15 points at the half, while Makayla Rudder had 13 for the Bulldogs.
The Pilgrims continued to roll in the third quarter as they claimed their largest lead of the game at 52-26 forcing a Dean timeout with 4:33 remaining in the third. The Bulldogs made a small push but New England College proved to be too much as they held a 66-35 lead heading into the final frame of play. The Pilgrims went on to win the game 84-50.

Kayla Goldringrecorded her first double-double of the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
