Box Score LONGMEADOW, Mass. The New England College women's basketball team pushes their winning streak to seven games, following a 76-33 win over Bay Path University in New England Collegiate Conference action, Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Pilgrims move to 10-3 on the year, while the Wildcats drop to 1-9.
HOW IT HAPPENEDThe Pilgrims came out strong as they jumped out to an early 9-2 lead. About halfway through the quarter New England College was able to build a 13-3 lead. NEC closed out the first quarter with a 15-point lead at a score of 21-6. The Pilgrims outscored the Wildcats 18-7 in the second quarter as they went into halftime with a 39-13 lead.
Rene Hudson led New England College with 11 points in the first half while Emmeline Bronson had 7 for Bay Path.
The Pilgrims kept rolling in the as they headed into the fourth quarter with a 65-22 lead. New England College kept their momentum as the closed out the game with a 76-33 win.
