HENNIKER, N.H.- The New England College field hockey team closed out the regular season with an 11-0 win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference action Wednesday afternoon on Don Melander Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pilgrims did not wait long to strike, as Leah Foster was able to score her third goal of the season just 48 seconds into the game. The NEC lead would quickly grow to 3-0 at the end of the first quarter, due to Foster's second of the game and Brittany Tierney picking up her 17^th of the season.

NEC pushed their advantage to 5-0 by halftime, and then 9-0 by the end of the third quarter. New England College tacked on two goals in the final quarter to go up 11-0.

Tierney paved the way for the Pilgrims with five goals and added one assist for 11 points. Foster was the only other player to record two goals. She tallied two assists for six points on the game. Neve Demarest set up three goals and added one for her own to pick up five points. Makenna Platte, Makenzie Reed, and Emilia Battista were the other goal scorers for New England College.

GOALKEEPERS
Stephanie Millios picked up her first collegiate win for the Pilgrims without needing to make a save. Alexis Masse turned aside 26 shots for the Bulldogs.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Pilgrims head into the NECC Playoffs as the fifth seed. NEC will hit the road on Saturday, November 2^nd as they take on fourth-seeded Husson University at 3:00 pm.
