PAXTON, Mass.-The New England College field hockey team suffered a 3-2 loss to Anna Maria College on Tuesday evening in non-conference play. With the loss, NEC falls to 0-2 on the season, while Anna Maria opens the year at 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The AMCATS scored just over 10 minutes into the game, but the 1-0 lead was untouched over 40 minutes. 15 minutes into the second half, Anna Maria scored again to take a two-goal lead.

Sofia Castriotta (Framingham, Mass.) scored her first collegiate goal in the 53
rd minute, Anna Maria scored again at 56:37, and NEC's Audrey Carr (Weare, N.H.) scored at 57:39.
Neither team would manage another goal for the final 13 minutes of the game. The Pilgrims held a narrow 11-10 advantage in shots on the game and held a 12-4 advantage in penalty corners.
