HENNIKER, N.H.-The New England College men's soccer team scored twice in the first half but ultimately tied the Panthers of Plymouth State University, 3-3, in double overtime on Monday evening.

Both teams now sit at 0-1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pilgrims took the lead early off of a corner kick. Nate Sprackland (Kingston, N.H.) took the corner and tapped it to Cooper Valinski (Portsmouth, N.H.), who fired it to the far post where Jackson Easter (Weare, N.H.) drew the keeper. Easter one-touched it to Owen Lloyd (Somers, N.Y.), who tapped it into the open net for NEC's first goal of the year.

Plymouth answered nine minutes later also off of a corner, but NEC took the lead again on a rocket by Vasili Vakilfotis (Burlington, Mass.) from 25-yards out.

The score remained untouched for over 20 minutes, until Plymouth evened it with another goal off of a corner in the 60^th minute.

The Panthers took their first lead of the game in the 72^nd minute when Juan Rivera threw in a deep throw to Dan Shaw's head, which bounced over to Joni Hongisto, who headed it in for the score.

NEC tied the score at 3-3 in the 78^th minute off of another corner Valinski sailed it in to the far post, where Brooklyn Ramsdell (Manchester, Conn.) was waiting to head it in to the opposite post. Neither team would score in the final 12 minutes of regulation or in 20 minutes of overtime.

GOALKEEPERS
NEC's Dylan Mix (Charlestown, N.H.) recorded 12 saves in the tie, while Plymouth's Linus Lindburg had nine saves.
