HOW IT HAPPENED
Prior to the start of the contest, the Pilgrims recognized their five seniors and the two Hawks seniors. Brittany Tierney (Ottawa, Ontario) got the scoring started with her 19th goal of the season. She fired home a rebound off of a shot by Sofia Castriotta (Framingham, Mass.). Audrey Carr (Weare, N.H.) continued the Pilgrim scoring with her fifth goal of the season in the 15th minute. The duo of Tierney and Castriotta would combine for Tierney's 20th goal of the season. However, the Hawks would respond and end the Pilgrim scoring run. Abigail Leahy took a penalty corner and pass to Amy Cooper, who fired home a shot from the top of the arc. The Pilgrims would head to the half with a 3-1 lead.

Castriotta started the second half with a bang as Carr slapped a pass across the goal mouth the Castriotta just had to touch into the goal. Kylian Kelly and Emily Lacovelli fired home two goals for the Hawks in just under two minutes to make it a one goal game. Taylor Daileanes (Londonderry, N.H.) gave the Pilgrims the extra insurance they needed in the 57th minute to give the Pilgrims a 5-3 lead.

GOALKEEPERS
Christine McNeil (Pawcatuck, Conn.) made three saves on six shots on goal while Victoria Pipel made five saves on 10 shots on goal.
