Box Score Henniker, N.H. New England College first-year forward Aislinn deHorsery scored all five Pilgrim goals leading NEC past visiting Daniel Webster College 5-2 in field hockey action Tuesday night.
With the win the Pilgrims improve to 2-1 on the season, while the loss drops the Eagles to 0-2 overall.
SCORING
New England College would open the scoring 10 minutes into the opening period as Aislinn deHorsey would redirect in a shot from
Kayla Donahue. Daniel Webster would net the equalizer in the 27th minute as Brittany Tierney would put in a pass from the end line courtesy of teammate Taylor St. Jean. The Pilgrims would regain their one goal lead just 36 seconds later as deHorsey and Donahue would hook up again for a goal, deHorsey's team-high seventh of the season.
Daniel Webster's Tierney would strike early in the second half of play netting an unassisted goal just four minutes into the half to knot the game at 2-2. deHorsey would then come through with three straight scores, including what would eventually be the game-winner on a rebound in the 50th minute. deHorsey's other two goals of the half were assisted by

GOALKEEPING
Picking up the win in net for NEC was
Michaela Clark who recorded four saves.
In goal for Daniel Webster was Ashlyn Farwell who made an impressive 15 saves.
