Box Score Henniker, N.H. Plymouth State University men's soccer would hand the New England College Pilgrims their first loss of the season as the Panthers edged the Pilgrims 2-1 Sunday evening.
With the loss the Pilgrims fall to 2-1-0 on the season, while the win improves the Panthers to 1-0-1 overall.
SCORING
The Pilgrims would strike first in the 30th minute of play as sophomore
Cooper Valinski would slip a pass through two Panther defenders and find junior
Brian Jumpp who would net his first goal of the season. Plymouth would answer back just six minutes later as Truls Julseth would gather a loose ball and float a shot over NEC keeper Dylan Mix knotting the game at 1-1.
Plymouth would net what would be the eventual game-winner in the 50th minute of play as Nick Rutherford would get off a free kick that would ricochet off the crossbar and bounce of Mix's back and in.
GOALTENDERS
NEC's Mix finished the game with six saves.
In goal for Plymouth was Felix Lindeberg who notched five saves in the win.

The Pilgrims return to action on Wednesday, September 7 when they host Regis College.
The Panthers will hit the field again on Friday, September 9 when they host Bridgewater State University.
