Haji Nets Two Second Half Goals Lifting NEC Past Visiting Daniel Webster

Box Score Henniker, N.H. New England College's Siad Haji netted two goals in a 40 second span in the second half lifting the Pilgrims past the visiting Daniel Webster College Eagles 2-0 Saturday afternoon.

SCORING

The two teams would battle through a scoreless opening half before Haji would break the scoring drought in the 75th minute as Haji would dribble around an Eagle defender and find the back of the net. The Pilgrims would keep the offensive pressure as Brian Jumpp would send a cross that would find the foot of Haji and in.

NEC finished the game out shooting Daniel Webster 17-10 as both teams recorded three corner kicks each.

GOALTENDING

Picking up the shutout win in net for NEC was Dylan Mix who finished the game with three saves.

Daniel Webster's Cooper Hall stopped seven shots in the loss.

WHAT'S NEXT

New England College will return to action on Wednesday, September 14 when they travel to take on Wheaton College.

Daniel Webster College will hit the field again Tuesday, September 13 when they travel to battle Plymouth State University.
