Field Hockey Wins Second Straight With Victory Over Daniel Webster

Box Score Nashua, NH Host Daniel Webster stayed close throughout but two second half scores help New England College hold on for a 3-1 victory over the Eagles in an intrastate field hockey matchup Thursday at Harvey Woods Field.

Kayla Donahue's (Natick, Mass.) team-leading third goal of the season proved to be the gamer with 13:44 remaining off a Kasondra Moniz (East Providence, R.I.) pass helping the Pilgrims (2-5) pick up their second straight victory.

Taylor Daileanes (Londonderry, N.H.) picked up a goal and assist for the winners. Abigail Arsenault (High Pine Plains, N.Y.) iced a one-goal game with her first of the season with 1:20 remaining.

Brittany Tierney (Napean, Ont.) tied the game for DWC (0-3) 6:19 into the second half off a Bryanna Lindsey feed. Tierney had nearly tied it just missing a tip in with five minutes remaining in the first half.

Michelle Davis (McKinney, Tex.) sparkled with 16 saves to help keep DWC in it, while NEC keeper Michaela Clark (Dorchester, Mass.) made six stops.

NEC finished with a 19-7 shots on goal advantage.

Daniel Webster is off until next Wednesday when they visit Colby-Sawyer at 4:00 p.m.

NEC visits Regis on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
