HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College softball team announced its 2023 schedule on Friday. The 'Grims open the season in Kissimmee, Florida against Simpson College and SUNY Oswego on March 12.

The Pilgrims are to build off their early finish last season during the conference tournament, as head coach, Ben Master, heads into his eleventh season at the helm.  

Following their season openers, the Pilgrims will continue their spring break in Clermont, Florida, with matchups against SUNY Geneseo, Wisconsin Lutheran College, SUNY Fredonia, Macalester College, Marywood Univ., Gallaudet Univ., Plymouth State Univ., Lawrence Univ., and Union College. NEC returns to the northeast to close out the month with away doubleheaders at Rivier Univ., Salem State Univ., and will also begin conference play at Mitchell College on March 25, followed by their home opener on March 31 hosting Univ. of Maine-Farmington.  

The 'Grims will begin April hosting Lesley Univ., Univ. of Maine-Presque Isle, and Salem State. April will also see New England taking on Rhode Island College, Rivier, Northern Vermont-Johnson, and NECC opponents Eastern Nazarene College, Mitchell, and Lesley in doubleheaders. 

The NECC Softball Tournament will begin on Friday, May 5th, and with a champion being declared on Sunday the 7th.
