New England College Director of Athletics Lou Izzi announced the hiring of Robert Millard as the head coach of the NEC alpine skiing program in October 2017.

“I am pleased to welcome Rob as our new head coach of alpine skiing,” said Izzi.  “Rob was an outstanding former athlete and team captain at NEC who brings a passion for skiing and a strong commitment to developing our ski program.  We are looking forward to Rob's leadership and the many ways he will contribute to our department and the success of our student-athletes.”

Millard coached the skiing team in an interim capacity during the 2017 season. A 2014 graduate of NEC, Millard was a three-year member of the NEC men’s soccer team.

“I want to say thank you to New England college and everyone involved in the hiring process,” said Millard. “As an alumnus, I am very excited to come back and bring passion and commitment to the NEC community. I look forward to building the alpine ski team and can’t wait until the snow flies.”

Most recently, Millard worked in special education in the Concord school district. He resides in Hillsboro.
