NEWTON, Mass. - New England College Men's Lacrosse fell to Lasell University 18-4 on Saturday. Junior Brody McGonigle (Concord, N.H.) scored twice in the loss.
The Lasers scored just 29 seconds into the game and took a 2-0 lead before McGonigle scored his first goal just five minutes into the game. After another Lasell goal, McGonigle would score his second.
In the second quarter, junior Matt O'Rourke (Concord, N.H.) found the back of the net to cut the Lasers lead down to four. Lasell went up 14-3 before freshman Shane Helman (Parma, Ohio) scored the final Pilgrims goal of the game.
Freshman Owen Taylor (Lanesborough, Mass.) had two assists on the game as junior goalie Nate Finn (Norwood, Mass.) made 22 saves in the loss.
The Pilgrims are back home on Wednesday afternoon as they host Plattsburgh State on Don Melander Field at 4:00 PM.
