HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College Men's Basketball (5-9, 1-1 GNAC) fell to Saint Joseph's College of Maine (6-7, 1-1 GNAC) by a score of 107-67 in a GNAC competition on Wednesday night.
Two quick baskets by junior Mike Strazzeri (Chichester, N.H.) gave the Pilgrims an early 4-3 lead before the Monks quickly reversed momentum to jump out to a lead as high as 33 towards the end of the first half despite sophomore Josh Robie (Bethlehem, N.H.) contributing nine points off of three made three-pointers.
In the second half, sophomore Luke Montejo (Tewksbury, Mass.), senior Stravis Lutchman (Palmetto, Fla.), and freshman Charlie Amero (Gloucester, Mass.) combined for 16 points as the Monks offense used the deep ball to secure the win.
Robie's nine points led the team as Lutchman followed close behind with seven. Montejo led the Pilgrims with seven rebounds in the loss.
