NEW HAVEN, Conn. - New England College Men's Basketball dropped a conference matchup against Albertus Magnus on Saturday afternoon.
NEC took the lead in the first half with a three-pointer by sophomore Josh Robie (Bethlehem, N.H.) and then a layup by sophomore Luke Montejo (Tewksbury, Mass.), but the Falcons would be quick to score and take the lead. The next ten minutes were back and forth exchanging the lead. With six and a half minutes left Robie was able to cut the lead for the score to be 26-23. However, that would not be enough, and AMC advanced their lead to head into halftime to 10 points with a score of 42-32.
The team came out in the second half and started scoring immediately with a layup from sophomore Ryan Cuvier (Tewksbury, Mass.) who also got fouled and made good on that, making the lead only seven. However, AMC would go on to a 15-0 run to make their lead 63-42. The team would ultimately lose 105-65, led by Robie, who had 27 points.
NEC is back home on Tuesday at 7:00 when they host Colby-Sawyer College for Henniker Youth Night.
