HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College junior infielder Grace Giesler (La Mirada, Calif.) of the NEC softball team has been named the Female Pilgrim of the Month for the month of April 2025 in an announcement by the Department of Athletics on Thursday morning.
Giesler started all 21 games in April for the Pilgrims, recording hits in 18 of those games. In April, she led the team with 25 hits, 19 runs scored, seven extra-base hits (four doubles and three triples), five stolen bases, and a .522 slugging percentage. The junior batted .373 this month with a .449 on-base percentage while adding nine RBIs and nine walks. On April 8th, in the front-end of a doubleheader against Norwich, Giesler broke the all-time NEC triples record with her 19th career three-bagger.
Grace had another strong season here in Henniker, leading the team with a .368 batting average, a .471 on-base percentage, and a .474 slugging percentage. She also led the way with 42 hits, four triples, 54 total bases, 22 walks, and 13 stolen bases on 15 attempts. She had 35 runs scored this season which ranked third in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Her 22 walks also ranked third in the conference while her four triples ranked tied for 10th.
