Men’s Golf Takes First at Keene State

KEENE, N.H. - The New England College men's golf team competed at the Keene State Invitational on Wednesday at the Keene Country Club in Keene, New Hampshire, coming in first place out of four teams. The Pilgrims took first place with a combined score of 305 / +21 in a field including two squads from Keene and a fourth from Elms College.
 
TOP 'GRIMS
  • Three Pilgrims tied for first place in the field by shooting 76 / +5, with freshman Ryan Waring (Gilmanton, N.H.) – the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year after medaling at the GNAC Championships – joined by junior Graham Hassan (Pinckney, Mich.) and freshman Vesse-Wincent Lampen (Espoo, Finland).
  • Senior Timothy Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) – fresh off being named the 2024-2025 NEC Male Athlete of the Year at Monday's NEC Athletics' Awards Ceremony, came in fourth place with a 77 / +6.
  • Freshman Bryce Sturm (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) had a 92 / +21.
UP NEXT
  • NEC will compete next on Tuesday, May 20th when they travel to the NCAA Championships in Penfield, New York.
