Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's BasketballComes Up Short at Framingham State

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - New England College Men's Basketball fell to Framingham State University in a 68-64 non-conference matchup on Tuesday.

The Pilgrims used three-pointers from junior Mike Strazzeri (Chichester, N.H.) and senior Kenray Emadamerho (Manchester, N.H.) and a layup from sophomore Luke Montejo (Tewksbury, Mass.) as the teams were tied at eight points apiece six minutes into the game.

Sophomore Ryan Cuvier (Tewksbury, Mass.) and sophomore Josh Robie (Bethlehem, N.H.) added threes of their own as they held a 16-11 lead just under halfway through the first half. The Pilgrims continued to use the deep ball to extend the lead to 24-18 as junior Jasen Stovall (Tampa, Fla.) buried two of his own. Despite a three from junior Michael Hills (Baton Rouge, La.), the Rams charged back to take a 39-32 lead into the half.

After starting the second half on an 11-2 run, the Rams were unable to hold onto the lead as the Pilgrims stormed back to get within four points with just under nine minutes to play. A late push from NEC fell short as the Rams came away with the 68-64 win.

Cuvier and Montejo led the Pilgrims with 12 points apiece with Robie finishing just behind with 11. Montejo finished with a game-high four rebounds while Cuvier led the team with eight rebounds.

The Pilgrims continue their 2025-26 campaign after the new year as they host Dean College at Bridges Gym on Monday, January 5 at 6:00 PM.
