Men’s Soccer Plays to 2-2 Draw with Rams

HENNIKER, N.H. - Playing their final non-conference game of the season, the New England College men's soccer team settled for a draw against Framingham State University on Tuesday night at the Don Melander Field.

For the second straight game, freshman Eddy Nyemah (Manchester, N.H.) found the back of the net within the first eight minutes of the contest. Senior Patrick Tewksbury (Londonderry, N.H.) used a header to redirect a free kick from junior Jack Labroad (East Kingston, N.H.) and found Nyemah for a one-timer and a 1-0 Pilgrims lead.

The Rams countered the early Pilgrims goal with a score of their own from Isaiah Harris in the 37th minute.

With exactly three minutes left in the first half, the 'Grims retook the lead as freshman Don Irankunda (Concord, N.H.) netted his first career goal off a corner from senior Anthony Ruggiero (Hooksett, N.H.).

In the 63rd minute, Framingham State once again came through with the equalizer, this time from Landon Medeiros.

The final 27 minutes passed with neither team pushing across the go-ahead goal, and the two teams settled for a 2-2 draw. The tie was the Pilgrims third of the season as their overall record now sits at 7-5-3 with four conference games remaining.

On Saturday, the Pilgrims head to New Haven, Connecticut for a road matchup against Albertus Magnus starting at 1:00 PM.
