HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just over five minutes into the game, the Pilgrims got the scoring started as freshman midfielder Kennedy Overhoff (Whitfield, N.H.) found junior forward Cristina Manzi (Peapack, N.J.) to take an early 1-0 lead.
- In the early goings of the second quarter, the 'Grims lead would be doubled as graduate forward Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) found the back of net with the assist again coming from Overhoff. With 4:15 left in the first half, sophomore forward Adelaide Kelly (Rockport, Maine) would do it all herself with an unassisted goal to give the Pilgrims a 3-0 lead heading into the locker room.
- 7:49 into the third quarter, senior midfielder Meaghan McCamish (Warwick, R.I.) drove towards the Falcons goal and found a streaking Manzi who had slipped behind the Falcons defense for her second goal of the game.
- With just 20 seconds left in the third, Chin intercepted a pass in the Falcons' defensive zone and drove around a trio of defenders before beating the goalkeeper and depositing her second goal of the game.
- NEC took a five-goal lead into the fourth quarter but the 'Grims weren't done yet. With 12:52 left in the game, sophomore defender Leah Bohling (Chesapeake, Va.) hustled to collect a loose ball in front of the Albertus net and beat the keeper to their weak side to score her first career goal. The 'Grims would go on to win by a final score of 6-0 to remain undefeated in conference play and move to 8-1 on the season.
