HENNIKER, N.H.- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) acknowledged New England College freshman infielder
Abigail Grimes (Baltimore, Md.) of the softball team as part of the Third Team All-Conference on top of being recognized as a member of the All-Rookie team due to the success on the field she displayed throughout the season that bestowed her these accolades.
The freshman played an important role in the program's success on the season starting 38 games out of the 39 played connecting on 44 hits and recording a total of 26 RBI's, placing second on the team in both categories, and slugged a .352/.376/.440. One of the best performances of the season by Grimes came against Regis College on March 7
th earning four hits, an RBI, a double, and one stolen base showing her whole skillset that helped guide the team towards victory during their Florida spring break trip. During the team's postseason stretch of games, the Maryland native made her presence known, making the most out of each outing gathering six hits and three RBI's.

Surena Montero (Bakersfield, Calif.) was named to the GNAC sportsmanship team.
