HOW IT HAPPENED
- The visitors from Maryland got a pair of runs across in the top of the first inning on back-to-back sacrifice flies to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. In the third, the Green Terror would add five runs capped off by a grand slam by infielder Patrick Kelly (Great Falls, Va.).

Down 8-2 in the fourth, NEC would add one more on a bases loaded wild pitch scoring graduate catcher Aaron Robertson (Weare, N.H.).
- McDaniel would open the floodgates in the fifth, adding eight runs in the inning – four of which came on Kelly's second grand slam of the game.
