HENNIKER, N.H. – Three student-athletes from the New England College women's basketball programs have been named to the 2023-2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams in an announcement by the CSC this week.

Senior Juliana Hernandez (McFarland, Calif.) ended the 2023-24 campaign fourth in scoring average with 6.1 including reaching the double-digit plateau four times in the 'Grims last eight games. Macy Gordon (Boscawen, N.H.) kept on producing solid numbers in her second season of play after earning a NECC Rookie of the Week award the year prior, averaging 5.2 points and 1.4 assists a game. Fellow sophomore Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) was a consistent force of nature for NEC after a strong first season after accumulating three NECC Rookie of the Weeks as she entered 2023-2024 with a 15-point outing in this season's opener against Lesley University.

"I am so proud of these three players." NEC head coach Erica Ledy said of her trio of scholar-athletes. "Sometimes all the hard work and dedication one puts in on the court does not get formal recognition. It is great that Julie, Macy and Mac are being recognized for their hard work in the classroom and are getting this honor!"

The College Sports Communicators – formerly CoSIDA – have recognized outstanding academics among student-athletes since 1952.
