Erica Ledy was named the head coach of the New England College women's basketball team prior to the 2002-03 season. She holds a career 461-413 record and is the winningest coach in NEC history. Coach Ledy led the 'Grims to back-to-back conference championships in 2018-19 and 2019-20, culminating in NCAA tournament berths. Overall, Ledy has led her team to five conference tournament games and 13 playoff appearances, most recently advancing to the GNAC Quarterfinals in 2023-24. 

The Ledy-led championship in 2018-19 was the first conference title for NEC in 26 years. In 2014-15, Ledy was instrumental in leading the Pilgrims to the winningest season in program history, amassing 21 wins, and taking the team to the North Atlantic Conference Championship game. Two years later, the Pilgrims returned to the NAC championship for the second time in three years with an identical 21-7 record.

Prior to New England College, Ledy was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the University of Northern Colorado where she led the team to the North Central Conference post-season tournament.  She has also spent time as the head coach at both Northwood University and Lake Superior State University.  While at Lake Superior State, Ledy led her team to two DII Sweet 16 appearances and was named Basketball Coaches' Association of Michigan Women's College Coach of the Year in 1994.  Ledy has since been inducted into the Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame.

Coach Ledy earned her psychology degree at Lake Superior State University where she was a four-year captain of the women’s varsity basketball team and gathered GLIAC All-Conference honors and GLIAC All-Academic honors.  She went on to receive her masters in Community College Education with an emphasis in administration and supervision from Northern Michigan University.
