HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 2-0 going into the third period, NEC sophomore forward Meadow Gilchrist (Stamford, Conn.) scored her eighth goal of the season with 17:03 left in the game to pull the 'Grims to within one, assisted by graduate forward Cassie Kelly (Alexandria, Minn.) and sophomore forward Olivia Lindberg (Stockholm, Sweden). But a costly penalty in the closing minutes against the hosts allowed the Huskies to score an insurance goal with 44 seconds remaining, and the Pilgrims were unable to close the gap.
