HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College Athletics Department has named freshman forward
Jack Herron (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) of the NEC men's ice hockey team their Male Pilgrim of the Month for January 2024.
Herron made his season debut on January 2
nd, and since the beginning of January the freshman has tied for the team lead in goals (three), assists (two), and points (five). Herron won New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending on January 21st, a time where Herron scored in three consecutive games against #2 Elmira, UMass-Boston, and Johnson & Wales. Against JWU, Herron had his best performance as a 'Grim where he collected two assists to go along with his goal.
After a strong 5-2 win over VTSU-Castleton over the weekend, Herron and the men's ice hockey team turns their attention to #12 ranked Norwich on Saturday for a 4:00 NEHC showdown.
