THE BASICS
Score:                  Babson 4, New England College 2
Records:              Pilgrims 1-7-1, 1-4-1 NEHC | Beavers 6-5-1, 5-3-0 NEHC

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Down 2-0 after the first, the Pilgrims got on the board just 1:32 in the second when NEC freshman forward Egor Osipik (Minsk, Belarus) scored his first career goal, assisted by sophomore forward Dylan Duckson (Mahtomedi, Minn.) and freshman forward Gus Cantwell (West St. Paul, Minn.). The 'Grims went into the third period within one at 2-1.
  • With time running out for the Pilgrims with 4:07 left in the third, the hosts finally tied it up on a power play as Osipik scored his second goal of the game, tying it up at 2-2.
  • With the game appearing headed for overtime, Babson junior forward Ian Driscoll (Middleton, Mass.) scored the go-ahead goal with 2:10 remaining, that proving to be the eventual game-winner. An empty-netter in the closing seconds by Babson sophomore forward Joseph Kramer (Bridgewater, Mass.) was all the insurance the visitors needed.
