Sampson Honored as November’s Female Pilgrim of the Month

HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College graduate middle-blocker Tatiana Sampson (Kailua, Hawaii) of the NEC women's volleyball team has been named the Female Pilgrim of the Month for November of 2024 in an announcement by the Department of Athletics on Tuesday morning.

Sampson's fifth season in Henniker came to an end in mid-November, playing in all 29 matches and posting her fourth consecutive season of 150+ kills. The graduate student added 43 total blocks and totaled 206 points on the season – adding 33 kills and 14 blocks in the month of November. Sampson led the team in blocks and finished second in kills.

Hailing from Hawaii, Sampson posted career numbers that show up all over the program's record books. This season, Sampson broke the all-time kills record and now possesses a sizable 77 kill gap over second place. Last season, Sampson broke the all-time blocks record and now sits comfortably in first place with over 100 blocks more than any other student-athlete in program history.

"I couldn't be happier for Tati! This award is a testament to her dedication, effort, and hard work," said head coach Kirsten Morrison. "It's been incredible to coach on the court and watch her grow as a person. I'm proud that Tatiana Sampson is a name that is etched in our record books!"
