Women’s Volleyball Tabbed 8th in 2026 GNAC Preseason Poll

HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's volleyball team was picked 8th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll conducted by the league's 14 head coaches. 

Lasell earned the top spot in the preseason coaches' poll, earning 8 first-place votes and 190 total points while Emmanuel came in second with five first-place votes and 177 points. while Saint Joseph's College of Maine rounded out the top three with one first-place vote and 163 points.  

Regis, Rivier, Simmons, and Colby-Sawyer followed in spots four through seven, while New England College claimed the eighth slot with 98 voting points. Albertus Magnus, the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), Dean, Mitchell, Elms, and Norwich rounded out the nine through 14 spots.  

The 'Grims reached the GNAC postseason in the last three seasons in the league, and the team will look to make a return to the tournament in year four.  

NEC starts their season on Tuesday, September 1st when they host the Panthers of Plymouth State University and begins conference play on Saturday, September 12th against Albertus Magnus on the road.
