Beaulieu Earns NEHC Goaltender of the Week Nod

HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College freshman goaltender Anthony Beaulieu (Lawrence, Mass.) of the NEC men's ice hockey team was named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Goaltender of the Week for the week ending on November 17th.

Making his first two starts of the season in net for NEC, Beaulieu broke out in a big way; Beaulieu gathered 63 saves while leading the team to a 1-0-1 record in two games against Norwich. On Friday night, in his first career start, the freshman made 32 saves across 65 minutes of action in a game that remained tied through an overtime period. In the shootout, Beaulieu denied all three Cadets to secure the shootout win. In the rematch on Saturday, Beaulieu provided a 31 save shutout encore performance. The Pilgrims would win the game, 2-0, behind Beaulieu's first career shutout, handing Norwich their first NEHC loss of the season.

On the week, Beaulieu stopped 63/64 shots to the mark of a .984 save percentage – the lone blemish being a powerplay goal on Friday night. Following this weekend's games, the rookie leads all qualified goaltenders with a 0.44 goals-against average and a .985 save percentage.
