HOW IT HAPPENED
- After taking a one goal lead in the first half, the Cadets made it 2-0 just five minutes into the second period when Norwich sophomore midfielder Diego Fuentes (Valencia, Spain) got the ball near midfield and launched it over the NEC defense to a streaking freshman midfielder Ben Rubinstein (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) who beat the keeper in a one-on-one for his team-leading fourth goal of the season. Then with 24:45 to go, Fuentes found senior midfielder Kam Jorgenson (Titusville, Fla.) for his second goal of the game, giving the visitors a commanding 3-0 lead.
- The 'Grims got one back in the 81st minute when NEC sophomore midfielder Santino Stabholz (Buenos Aires, Argentina) found freshman center back Levi Campbell (Goffstown, N.H.) for the rookie's first career goal. That was as close as the hosts could get, however, as they took the loss.
