HENNIKER, N.H. – First-Year Golfer
Ryan Waring (Gilmanton, N.H.) has won his third Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week honors, along with his first career GNAC Golfer of the Week award. Waring led the Pilgrims to their second consecutive GNAC championship with a +9 total score.
The score was good enough to place him at the top of the leader-board in the conference tournament. The result earned him GNAC Player and Rookie of the Year, as he was not only the top rookie, but the top player overall to finish in the tournament.
"Congratulations to Ryan on winning Player and Rookie of the Week honors. When I was recruiting him this summer, I knew he had the capability to be one of the top players in our conference," said coach
Travis Banga. "I'm very excited to take him and the team to the NCAAs in May and see what they can do!"
