FRANKLIN, Mass. - The New England College men's soccer team took home a win at Dean College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday at Longley Field in Franklin, Massachusetts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pilgrims put the pressure on early as multiple shot attempts were shut down by Dean goalie Jake Godwin. Within the first twelve minutes, NEC took advantage of their chances as junior forward Noel Huliselan (Jakarta, Indonesia) had his first shot denied by defender Andrew Dalton and his second, assisted by sophomore midfielder Santiago Sanchez (Guatemala City, Guatemala) got past Godwin and in the net to make it 1-0 Pilgrims just 11:30 into the first half.
- The two teams would trade shots and chances until the final two minutes as sophomore forward Chase Gurtowsky (Torrington, Conn.) was able to bury one with 1:58 left in the half. The second half went back-and-forth as both teams were able to trade chances. Dean was able to control possession for the final 15 minutes as they got four shots on, with three saved by senior goalkeeper Hayden Walker (Manchester, N.H.) as he helped the Pilgrims defense hold on for the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Pilgrims almost doubled the Bulldogs shot attempts with 22 total and 13 on goal.
- Walker made the save on all eight of Dean's shots on goal, as Godwin finished with 11 saves.
- Despite leading the game with seven corner kicks to NEC's two, Dean was unable to convert on them.
- Huliselan led the match with four shots on goal as Seamus Doherty led the Bulldogs with two.
