HOW IT HAPPENED
- Babson sophomore forward Cam Joslin (Cohasset, Mass.) got the Beavers on the board with 3:23 remaining in the opening period with assists credited to senior defenseman Colby Bailey (Southborough, Mass.) and first-year forward Jimmy Fallon (Milton, Mass.).
- The Beavers would still lead 1-0 going into the third period before an insurance goal from sophomore forward Brendan Kennedy (Georgetown, Ontario), an empty-netter from Kennedy and a garbage-time goal in the closing moments from junior forward Wyatt George (Mount Lebanon, Pa.) gave the Pilgrims the loss.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore goaltender Danny Miscavish (Macomb, Mich.) stopped 23 out of 26 shots.
- Babson first-year goaltender Mason Rosado (Weddington, N.C.) finished with 23 saves between the pipes.
- NEC junior forward Ike Taraszewski (Wayzata, Minn.), playing in just his second game as a 'Grim, led the team with eight shots including three on net.
