PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The New England College men's soccer team took a 0-2 loss to preseason favorite Johnson & Wales in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex in Providence, Rhode Island.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 27:37 into the game, the Wildcats jumped out in front on a cross into the box by graduate midfielder Aidan Bagley (Cumberland, R.I.) that was finished off by junior midfielder Brian Miller (Ramsey, N.J.) for the game's first goal.
- Late in the second half, with just 3:32 left to play, and after nearly sixty minutes of scoreless play, the Wildcats added an insurance goal on a chip-shot by sophomore forward Carlos Andrade (Cranston, R.I.), with the assist coming from graduate midfielder Austin Sweeney (Nutley, N.J.). With it, the Wildcats would secure the 2-0 victory over the Pilgrims.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Junior goalkeeper Hayden Walker (Manchester, N.H.) matched his season-high with 10 saves for the 'Grims.
- Meanwhile, Johnson & Wales graduate goalie Jacob Friedman (Woodland Hills, Calif.), with some help from his defense, earned his sixth shutout of the season.
