CHICOPEE, M.A.- The New England College women's soccer team dropped their Great Northeast Atlantic Conference matchup against the Blazers of Elms College, 3-0 from Leary Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blazers got settled into the game early by scoring the first goal of the game that came from Sophomore forward Jamie McDonough (Deadham, MA) assisted by junior midfielder Caroline Wilcox (Pomfret Center, CT) at 17:43. From that point on EC maintained their lead going into the half.
- As the second half commenced the momentum of the Blazers continued going into it as they tacked on two more goals with one from Wilcox and the other coming from junior midfielder Kelly Malheiro (Centereach, NY) off Wilcox to solidify themselves another conference win on the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore goalkeeper Stephanie Bronowicki (Carona, Calif.) gathered seven saves at the pitch facing 10 shots on goal.
- Wilcox scored herself a Blazer goal along with two assists, Malheiro recorded a goal along with McDonough.
UP NEXT
- The Pilgrims will be on the road to play against the Pride of Regis College on Wednesday September 20, at 4:30 PM.
