BOSTON, M.A.- The New England College men's soccer team was up against another set of Great Northeast Atlantic Conference competitors in the Saints of Emmanuel College that concluded in a 2-1 victory for the Pilgrims from Roberto Clemente Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was a closely contested bout with neither team backing down presenting strong defensive outings.
- NEC wasted no time to show urgency by scoring early on in the second half with the first goal of the game coming from senior forward Logan Cassin (Penacook, NH) assisted by sophomore forward Noel Huliselan (Dover, NH).
- Things got interesting the midst of the half as the Saints found a way to get one in the back of the net with the goal credited to sophomore midfielder Joe Anderson (Tampa, FL) assisted by sophomore defender Pierre-Paul Labossierre (Port-au-Prince, Haiti).
- At 83:48 Chassin collected another goal that ended up being the game winner coming off an assist from sophomore midfielder Anthony Aguiar (Gilford, NH).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Pilgrims managed to take more shots over the Saints as NEC finished with 10 to their nine taken.
- NEC took advantage of utilizing the corner kicks granted to them having four while EC could manage one.
- Cassin was the offensive star on the evening with two goals, while both Huliselan and Aguiar gathered an assist, respectively.
- Anderson scored the only Saints goal that came from Labossierre.
