HENNIKER, N.H. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced the All-Conference teams for the 2023 field hockey season, with a total of seven 'Grims being recognized.
Graduate forward
Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) was named to the All-Conference First Team following a very strong season, leading the team with 17 goals – good for fifth-most in the conference. She was everywhere on offense, also adding 10 assists – tying her for fourth in the GNAC.
Joining Chin on the All-Conference First team was junior back
Taylor Bailey (Boscawen, N.H.). Bailey quickly became a defensive leader for the 'Grims, stopping opposing offenses all over the field. Her presence was also felt on the offensive-end, as she was consistently relied upon to take penalty corners, while scoring one goal and connecting on four assists on the season.
Graduate midfielder
Mikayla Vincent (Newburyport, Mass.) continued her role as a leader on the team, en route to being selected to the All-Conference Second Team. Vincent scored 16 goals on the season, her career-high, while tying for second in the GNAC with 14 assists, also a career-best.
Junior midfielder
Meaghan McCamish (Warwick, R.I.) was recognized on the All-Conference Third Team. The reigning Pilgrim of the Month for September recorded eight goals and four assists on the season.
Meanwhile, freshmen
Neila Jones (Rowley, Mass.),
Adelaide Kelly (Rockport, Maine), and
Conley Ladabouche (Barre, Vt.) were all named to the All-Rookie Team. Jones added two assists to go along with very strong defensive from the left back position. Kelly jumped directly into a goal-scoring role, ranking fourth on the team with five goals. Ladabouche acted as the defensive anchor for the 'Grims, making a team-high six defensive-saves – also tied for third-most in the GNAC.
"All of these student-athletes are well deserving of GNAC All-Conference honors. They worked extremely hard throughout the season to not only shape their own game, but to push the growth of their team until the very end," said Head Coach
Carly Sweeney. "We are extremely proud to have these student-athletes represent New England College field hockey in our inaugural GNAC All-Conference selections."
Senior forward
Emma LaPierre (Franklin, N.H.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
