HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's basketball team won 76-56 over visiting Worcester State University on Tuesday evening at the Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire in non-conference action.

TURNING POINTS
- Clinging to a three-point lead going into the fourth quarter, the 'Grims exploded in the fourth quarter behind a tenacious defense and balanced scoring attack, shooting 8-of-14 from the floor and four-of-six from behind the arc.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC senior guard Alissia Corona (Wylie, Tex.) led the Pilgrims with 16 points including going four-of-eight from downtown. Corona was one of four 'Grims to score in double-digits.
- Worcester State senior guard Katie Hurynowicz (Tyngsboro, Mass.) led all scorers with 17 points, keeping the Lancers in it up until the final quarter.
- NEC senior center Kathleen Rodriguez (McFarland, Calif.) overcame a slow start to pull down a game-high 12 rebounds with five boards.
- Worcester State first-year forward Lena Waldron (Quincy, Mass.) posted 14 points with seven rebounds.
- Junior guard Amya Moss (Norfolk, Va.) finished with 12 points and four rebounds, while sophomore guard Makiah Scott (Washington, D.C.) and junior forward Gabriella Matlock (Tulare, Calif.) both added 11 points.

- Up next for NEC, the team hosts its first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent on Saturday when they host Anna Maria College at 1:30 p.m.
