WATERVILLE, Maine – The New England College men's ice hockey team lost 2-1 to Bowdoin College on Sunday afternoon at Jack Kelley Rink at Colby College in Waterville, Maine in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 2-0 late in the third, NEC attempted to rally when sophomore forward Lukas Washco (Darby, Penn.) scored his second goal of the season to pull the 'Grims to within one, assisted by junior defenseman Mattias Thorén (Stockholm, Sweden) and senior defenseman Zach Nelson (Hudson, Mass.). But Bowdoin hunkered down in the closing moments of the game, escaping with the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore goaltender Danny Miscavish (Macomb, Mich.) tallied 25 saves between the pipes for the Pilgrims in just his fourth start.
- Bowdoin senior goaltender Alex Kozic (Burnham Norton, UK) finished with 20 stops on the day.
- The Polar Bears had goals from junior Jack Gilligan (Salem, Mass.) and junior Jack Studley (Billerica, Mass.).
