CASTLETON, Vt. - The New England College women's soccer team concluded their 2023 season with a 6-1 loss at Vermont State University Castleton on Sunday at Dave Wolk Stadium in Castleton, Vermont.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore forward Riley Vachon (Laconia, N.H.) scored her first career goal in the 77th minute of the game, assisted by senior defender Catie Wheeler (Benton City, Wash.).
- NEC sophomore goalkeeper Hollie Bomba (Seymour, Conn.) totaled 12 saves on the day.
- Castleton goalies Amaya Rogers got the start between the posts and turned aside one NEC shot as Emma Ezzo saved two attempts in the final 45 minutes.
- The Spartans put together a full team effort with all active players getting significant minutes – nine recorded at least one point. Patrissi scored twice while Rylee Pepin and Becky Hannwacker contributed one goal apiece. Maddie Lindgren and Lauren Fotter found paydirt in the victory for the juniors' first career goals. Billings had three assists in the first half alone as Maggie McKearin, Brytney Moore, and Jordan Mattison each logged one helper.
