HENNIKER, N.H. – As the rains fell upon the Don Melander Field on Saturday evening, the New England College men's soccer team completed a full day of Pilgrim action with a 3-2 victory over against visiting Anna Maria College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- NEC senior forward Logan Cassin (Penacook, N.H.) scored two goals for the Pilgrims in the 10th and 74th minutes, giving him a team-high 11 for the season and matching his jersey number. Cassin's goal with 16:40 left in the game proved to be the eventual game-winner.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC freshman midfielder Santiago Sanchez (Guatemala City, Guatemala) scored his fifth career goal in the 54th minute, giving the Pilgrims a 2-1 lead at that point.
- The Grims saw assists from sophomore defenseman Patrick Tewksbury (Londonderry, N.H.), junior defenseman Darren Mota (Inverness, Scotland) and sophomore midfielder Wyatt Flibbert (Windham, Maine).
- NEC junior goalkeeper Hayden Walker (Manchester, N.H.) tallied nine saves on the night.
- Anna Maria stayed in it with goals from junior midfielder Rubelsi Moran (Holden, Mass.) and junior left back Gabe Tellez (East Falmouth, Mass.).
