HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's volleyball team rallied from a set down to prevail over visiting Colby-Sawyer College in four sets in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday evening at Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After coming up short in the first set, the 'Grims stormed back in the second to take it 25-15, a run that included four kills and an ace by sophomore outside hitter Lily-Anne Heywood (Derry, N.H.). In the third set, NEC fell behind 10-4 before again rallying, winning the next six points to tie it behind the serving of sophomore libero Krissy Cardello (Peabody, Mass.). Trailing again 16-12, the Pilgrims won 12 of the next 15 points, including a pair of aces from Cardello to pull away. In the fourth and final set, NEC again fell behind 13-10 before a 9-1 run saw the take control, sparked by the serving of freshman defensive specialist Alyssa Dunbar-Molina (El Paso, Tex.). Senior middle-blocker Tatiana Sampson (Kailua, Hawaii) stepped up to take the set, with three kills, two aces and two blocks.
- After the match, Heywood's teammates wished her happy birthday after a strong performance.

- Heywood led the 'Grims with 11 kills, 11 digs, two aces and two block assists.
- Colby-Sawyer junior outside hitter Ally Majenski (Marshfield, Mass.) led the Chargers with 13 kills and five digs.
- NEC sophomore setter Aurora Gutierrez-Macias (El Paso, Tex.) posted 20 set assists with nine digs.
- Colby-Sawyer junior setter Brooke Patnode (Weare, N.H.) set up the Chargers' offense with 25 set assists and seven digs.
- Cardello tallied 22 digs with three aces and five assists.
