PAXTON, Mass. – The New England College women's volleyball team split their Saturday tri-match at Anna Maria College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action, falling short to the Pride of Regis College before storming back to sweep the host AMCATS. The Pilgrims run their record to 9-11 with a 4-6 mark in conference action.
TOP 'GRIMS

• NEC senior middle-blocker Tatiana Sampson (Kailua, Hawaii) posted a season-high 11 kills over just three sets against the AMCATS, hitting .474 for the match. For the day, Sampson, NEC's all-time career leader in blocks, added three blocks to go along with a pair of service aces in six sets.
• NEC sophomore outside hitter Lily-Anne Heywood (Derry, N.H.) continued her breakout season, totaling 19 kills over six sets and hitting .218. The second-year standout also added 18 digs on the day.
• NEC sophomore libero Krissy Cardello (Peabody, Mass.) led a strong defensive effort with 31 digs over six sets.
• NEC sophomore setter Aurora Gutierrez-Macias (El Paso, Tex.) tallied 18 set assists on the day with 12 digs.
